End Game

You have the gift!
The magician cried
Kneeling in wonder
Bowing in near worship

The child wrapped
The snake in a coil
Energy streams pouring
Invisibly into the wind

Shiva?
Parvati?
What gives here?

I stood to the side watching
The scene unfold
Ancient fly on the wall
There are heroes
Being made
There are villains
Running loose

And we have a Stage

Time to roll the drums
Time to break reverence
At its base
Time to free reverence
From underground

Twisting, curling, breathing
Hard and heavy
Dying, waiting, living

An eon of patience
Eyes grown hollow
From watching, waiting

Nandi, alert as ever
Expectant
Looking into the mists
Of time

There are two who come
One the hero
One the villain
Both look like the other
And which one will you choose

Actions speak the charm
Words dress the wound
But bleed it will
Die he will

Who will you heed?
My confused friends
Who will you listen to children?

I cannot give away the game
I cannot tell it as it stands
Not from any other reason
But unknowing

So you are just as clueless
The child cried
The quality of grief
A seductive pallor

Disengage
Reimagine
You don't want
The snakes on the side of the wrong

It might seem cruel
But it is just
You have to listen
You have to see
And remember
This is just another roll
in the End game

Choose your sides
Strike your stance
Spark the sky
Light the arrows
